Surpassing Victories

“Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loves us.” Romans 8:37

To be more than a conqueror in Christ is to win with surpassing victories.  What I mean by this is that when the enemy comes against us we have to purpose in our hearts to delve into the word of God as we remain in the vine (John 15:5).  Any attempt at going into battle solo is like severing yourself apart from the source of power that causes you to triumph.  It is quite foolish for anyone to go into battle unarmed and wide open for attack.  In doing so you will surely die!  The same case is for the believer in Christ when it comes down to spiritual attacks.  We must put on the full armor of God by remaining in Him and getting a greater understanding of God’s word (Ephesians 6:11-18). Renewing our minds and walking in the light as he is in the light (Romans 12:1-2).  We are not supposed to continue being beat up and failing in the same areas in our lives, constantly struggling with the same issues and problems, month after month and year after year.  Saints, I say this with no condemnation attached, only in love.  With a heart determined to see us all succeed in every area of our lives.  Being able to win every battle we face, quickly with no delay.  No longer tolerating lingering attacks that drain, deplete and exhaust us, then after the fight we end up with less than what we started with, when we should be walking away with the spoils!   God has already equipped us and given us the strategic plans to walk in victory and it is by His word.  In this we have to be unwavering, determined, and steadfast.  We need the word of God to renew our minds and know the truth that makes us free (John 8:32).  His truth is the key to unlocking every door that has kept us out of having the surpassing victories in Christ Jesus.
